The Halo Effect are coming to Greece for the first time, performing at the very first Rockwave Festival of the North!
The Halo Effect is a Swedish melodic death metal supergroup formed in 2019. Not only are its members among the best in their field, but they are also some of the pioneers of the Gothenburg melodic death metal scene. The band features renowned guitarists and melodic death metal virtuosos Niclas Engelin and Jesper Strömblad, along with vocalist, growler, and lyricist Mikael Stanne. Completing the lineup are bassist Peter Iwers, a foundational force of the band, and his longtime collaborator of over twenty years, dynamic drummer Daniel Svensson.
Known as former and, in some cases, current members of In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and Gardenian, these musicians built their careers within these legendary bands while also playing a crucial role in their success. Having made a groundbreaking contribution to the Gothenburg sound of the 1990s, they now return to their roots with renewed creative energy, delivering melodic, powerful death metal that honors the past while pushing forward into the future.
